589480 Fresh Air Duct
The fresh air intake (OEM part# 589480) is used to allow fresh outside air into the cab. There are two types of fresh air doors (sold separately) for this duct. One is used in conjunction with an air operated actuator, the other is used in conjunction with an electronic actuator. The fresh air door allows the driver to either recirculate the air in the cab or allow the outside air in. These fresh air doors sometimes rust out. If you plan to replace the duct, it's a good idea to check the fresh air door to ensure that it will work properly. Along with the fresh air door, there are four plastic pieces that hold the door in place. We have two kits that include these parts. If you are unsure which parts you need, give us a call.
